The task was to create a superior-suite in a four star hotel in the heart of St. Moritz. For the client it was very important to express the style of the „alpine living“ using local materials. The two new room unities consist of a sleeping and a living room each and a separate dressing room as well as a generous bathroom. The design concept is clear and straight and uses oiled chestnut wood which is reinforced by a uniform shade of colours of sand and beige. Different historic photographs of St. Moritz in the interior of the room give a nice experience of this famous winter sports place and historic Olympic town. The single suites can be joined together with the help of a special system of an entrance rotunda which can be used as hall when the suites are united.
