The Residenza Cristallina is a residential complex at the entrance to St. Moritz Dorf with a breathtaking view over the lake of St. Moritz. The already existing house has been completely renovated and modernized. The building was clad with local larch shingles, except on the ground floor a natural stone facade was chosen. The facade construction with wooden shingles has a long tradition in the Grisons area and gives the house its natural character. The wooden shingles can easily cover a facade for 100 years. Their slow weathering by the sun, wind and rain ensures that the building gradually is united with its environment. The balconies are framed in metal an embedded in the building. Their rounded corners match the design of the entire building.
