In a small mountain village above St. Moritz a former stable has been converted into a habitable mountain hut. The idea of the elaborated concept is that the face of the stable remains mainly in its original nature and seems to be unchanged from the outside. Right behind it a modern glass-wood façade has been installed which gives light to the living room in the top floor and up to the gabled roof and which also offers the corresponding possibilities for airing. It’s a Spartan, but qualitatively high standing renovation. Besides the wet cell with a bath tub, also the open fireplace in the living room offers a new living quality with a special atmosphere. The unique location of the mountain hut at the bottom of the rocks and high above the Lake of Sils shows the inhabitants at any time an incredible natural spectacle which has been taken into consideration for the architecture concept and can therefore be completely experienced.
