A modern mountain residence is to be built into a forest clearing at the Suvretta hill in St. Moritz. The cubic concept consits of parallely positioned bodies with different heights and depths this reduces the volume by breaking up the outline of the building to the viewer. Additionally this approach creates space for a well integrated terrace and garden landscape. Horizontally aligned wood panels give the facade a light and well structured character. The darkened finish of the wood matches the dark green forest and allows the contours of the house to merge with the forest. A double-storey window front in the living space ensures the perception of being right in the middle of nature with a picturesque view of the Engadine lake and mountain landscape. All together a living experience at the highest level.
